LINCOLN, Neb.— Junior Abby Knouff's recording-breaking performance in the women's pole vault and freshman Juliette Laracuente-Huebner's pentathlon debut rewrote the record book as the University of Cincinnati track and field program closed out its weekend in Nebraska at the Frank Sevigne Invite on Saturday.

As day one of the invitational was coming to a close late Friday night, Knouff solidified her place in school history as she broke the UC women's pole vault, clearing a bar height of 4.32m / 14' 2" and took home first place in the event.

The Tallmadge, Ohio, native bested former Bearcat Brooke Catherine's 2018 record-setting mark of 4.26m / 13' 11.75" and became the first Bearcat woman to clear a bar height of over 14 feet in program history.

On a national level, her mark is currently tied for 12th-best in the nation and would qualify her for the 2024 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Also having a performance to remember was Laracuente-Huebner, who recorded the fourth-best pentathlon score in program history as she raked up 3,879 points and placed first overall in her event debut.

The freshman was locked in all day long as she won the 60m hurdles (8.49), long jump (5.83m / 19' 1.5") and 800m (2:22.29) section en route to her event victory. Her performance in the 60m hurdles was not only the fastest time of the day but was also the seventh fastest time in program history.

In total, Bearcats recorded eight UC all-time top 10 marks over the course of the two-day meet.

In his colligate debut, freshman Gianni Allwein showed it was worth the wait as he ran the fifth-fastest 800m in program history with a time of 1:51.09 and finished seventh overall in the event.

Freshman Davenae Fagan continues to rewrite UC history as she ran the ninth-fastest 400m in school history with a time of 55.23 and placed fourth overall in the event. She has now recorded UC all-time top 10 times in the 60m dash, 7.58 (8th), 200m, 24.24 (9th), 300m 38.78 (5th) and in the 400m this season.

Men's distance teammates sophomore Seth Elking and graduate student Jed Helker placed third and fourth in the men's mile after recording UC all-time top 10 times. Elking clocked a time of 4:05.63, the sixth fastest time in school history, while Helker ran a 4:06.93, the eighth-best time in program history.
