RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico – The University of Cincinnati women's golf team completed the first 18 holes of the Purdue Puerto Rico Classic on Sunday at the Grand Reserve Golf Club in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. 

Sophomore Winnie Chiang led Cincinnati on the first day of competition. She posted an even 72 and sits tied for 20th.  

Freshman Maggie Huett carded a season-low, one-over 73 in the first round and is tied for 30th. Senior Paola Rosario (T65), sophomore Mar García Jiménez (T82) and freshman Lauren Pleiman (88) follow in order. 

UC sits in 14th place with a team score of 301. LSU leads the way with a score of 283. 

Monday's second round tees off at 7:30 a.m. ET.
