CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women's tennis team will host the Miami (Ohio) Redhawks on Friday at the Western Athletic Club. First serve is set for 5 p.m.

The Bearcats (5-0) are coming off their fifth straight sweep, after defeating both Duquesne (4-0) and Eastern Illinois (7-0) on Feb. 2.

UC notched a total of 13 wins throughout both matches. Sophomore Rozalia Gruszczynska started singles off fast winning 6-0,6-2 against Duquesne, while graduate student Victoire de Samucewicz and Gruszczynska both recorded two unblemished sets versus the Panthers.

SCOUTING THE REDHAWKS
The Bearcats are 6-11 all-time in their matchups against the Redhawks.

Miami brings a 4-5 record into the match. Friday's meeting marks the fifth-straight road event for the Redhawks, who are coming off a 5-2 win over UIC last weekend where they took the doubles point and four singles matches.

Miami (Ohio)'s pair of Emilia Valentinsson and Sara Zalukar took down UIC's Mayu Ushio and Agnes Gustafsson, 6-2, while the other Redhawks duo of Nishitha Saravanan and Catherine Denysiewicz-Slowek defeated Camille Belberka and Tamara Malazonia, 6-2, to secure the doubles point.

In singles, Miami's Catherine Denysiewicz-Slowek got the hard-fought 7-5,6-2 victory over Tamara Malazonia on court two, and the Redhawk's Emilia Valentinsson defeated Mayu Ushio 6-1, 7-5.
