Cincinnati Hosts TCU for Senior Day Saturday

The University of Cincinnati women's basketball team hosts TCU at 2 p.m. on Saturday for Senior Day. The Bearcats will honor Mya Jackson, Jillian Hayes, Ta'Ziah Jenks, Nia Clark and Malea Williams following the conclusion of the game.

CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women's basketball team hosts TCU at 2 p.m. on Saturday for Senior Day. The Bearcats will honor Mya Jackson, Jillian Hayes, Ta'Ziah Jenks, Nia Clark and Malea Williams with a postgame ceremony.

  • Cincinnati (12-12, 4-9 Big 12) will look to snap a two-game losing streak when the Bearcats welcome TCU to Fifth Third Arena on Saturday. The Bearcats recently fell to Kansas, 75-60, on Wednesday night in Lawrence. UC is minus-22 in the third quarter over its last two games (39-17).
  • Senior Jillian Hayes turned in her eighth double-double of the season, 21st of her career, vs. Kansas. She posted 15 points and a career-high 17 rebounds, with eight and 10 coming in the fourth quarter. The 17 rebounds are tied for the seventh-most in a Big 12 game this season. She is averaging 15.3 points, 11.8 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.8 blocks over the last four games.
  • Reagan Jackson recorded 12 points vs. Kansas for the 10th double-digit scoring performance of her freshman campaign. She is averaging 10.7 points and 3.2 rebounds and is shooting 40.7% from the field (18-42 FG) in her last six games.
  • Sophomore A'riel Jackson has scored in double figures four times in the last six games and is averaging 9.8 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists during the stretch. She has led the team in assists a team-high 11 times this season.
  • Hayes is averaging nearly a double-double with 12.5 points and 8.7 rebounds and is shooting 43.4% from the field this season. She sits third in the Big 12 in rebounding (8.4) and fourth in double-doubles (8).
  • Senior Malea Williams sits eighth in the Big 12 in blocks per game (1.0). She has recorded seven multi-block performances and has led the team in blocks 12 times this season. She currently ranks sixth in blocks (91) in program history.
  • Hayes moved into third all-time at UC in career blocks with 122. She is nine blocks away from a second-place tie with II'mar'I Thomas (2018-21) with 131. She is also fifth all-time at UC in career rebounds with 784 boards. She is 16 rebounds away from becoming just the fifth player in program history to reach 800 in their career. She also sits sixth in free throws made (353) and eighth in steals (174) in UC history.
  • Cincinnati has outrebounded its opponent in 16 games this season and has either won or matched the rebounding battle in 10 of its 13 Big 12 contests (+2.4 margin). UC sits second in the league and 20th in the country in offensive rebounds per game (14.8).
  • In Big 12 games only, the Bearcats lead the league with 13.5 offensive boards per game. Cincinnati has recorded 20-plus offensive rebounds in three Big 12 games.
