CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati baseball team visits its crosstown rival Xavier on Tuesday in midweek action.
First pitch is set for 2 PM and the game will be streamed live on FloSports. The game was originally scheduled for Wednesday, but was moved up one day to avoid inclement weather in the area.
Cincinnati is coming off a 2-1 weekend, posting wins vs. Ball State and Illinois at Coastal Carolina. UC's weekend ended with a loss against the No. 25-ranked Chanticleers on Sunday, its first meeting vs. a ranked opponent this season.
The Bearcats lead the all-time series vs. the Musketeers, 101-65-2, and have won the last two meetings. The last time these two teams met was May 9, 2023 at UC Baseball Stadium. A three-run seventh inning propelled Cincinnati to an 8-7 win in that contest to help complete a series sweep of its rival.

Cincinnati played three games in Conway, S.C. this past weekend, capturing wins vs. Ball State and Illinois on Saturday.
In the 6-5 victory over the Cardinals, UC trailed by a run heading into the bottom of the seventh but took the lead on a two-run triple by Lauden Brooks. The Bearcats did a good job manufacturing their runs, drawing a season-high eight walks. Chase Horst and Griffin Hugus provided solid pitching in relief to seal the win, and Hugus earned his first save of the season.
The 10-3 win vs. Illinois followed a different script as the Bearcats took an early lead and didn't look back, matching their season-high run total.
Nathan Taylor's outstanding pitching performance bolstered UC's strong offense against the Fighting Illini. Taylor struck out 10 in 5.1 innings, carrying a no-hitter into the bottom of the sixth. He is the only freshman pitcher in the Big 12 with a 10-strikeout performance this year.
At the plate, Kerrington Cross went 3-for-4 with a home run and a career-best four runs scored. Dalton Pearson also homered, a three-run shot that was his first in a Cincinnati uniform.
