MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The Cincinnati swimming and diving team closed out the first day of the Big 12 Conference Championships with two new program records and three podium finishes.
The best finish of the day came from the women's 800-yard freestyle team. Julie Rose, Lindi Worrell, Jessica Davis and Sophie Curtis placed second recording a time of 7:23.21.
On the men's side, the 800-yard freestyle relay team of Ricky Williams, Hunter Gubeno, Alex Gonzalez and Jon Osa earned a fourth-place finish with a time of 6:26.31.
The women's 200-yard medley relay team of Lily Jones, Joleigh Crye, Grace Gavin and Kaylee Nagel set a new program record with a time of 1:38.17, grabbing the bronze.
Jones dominated the 50-yard backstroke split, notching a new program record with a time of 24.98.
