CINCINNATI – Saturday's men's basketball home finale and Senior Day will carry a special significance in Cincinnati athletics history, as the department will honor the Paul family at halftime against West Virginia (2 p.m.).
Walter, who has since passed, was the lead recruiter with head coach George Smith and a longtime mentor to Oscar Robertson, who brought the Bearcats into the national spotlight. Robertson has also credited the university's renowned co-op program as a prominent selling point.
