// LAST TIME OUT
Cincinnati dropped two out of three at Kansas State this past weekend.

After being shut out in Friday's opener, the Bearcats scored 11 runs on Saturday and used a six-run third inning to grab control of the game early. Though the bats stole the show early, it was the work of Brenden Garula and Christian Mitchelle on the mound that clinched the game for UC. Both pitchers combined to throw 4.1 scoreless frames to end the game.

Cincinnati combined to score 24 runs in its first conference series, tied for second-most among Big 12 schools this past weekend.

// HOME COOKING
UC has been terrific at home this season, posting a 6-1 record at UC Baseball Stadium. The Bearcats have outscored opponents 75-33 on their home turf and are hitting .344 in seven home games.

Four different players are hitting at least .400 at home and both Luke Sefcik (.571) and Josh Hegemann (.533) are hitting above .500.

// WALK THIS WAY
Cincinnati has done an excellent job working the count this year, ranking 21st in the nation in walks (101). Kerrington Cross (18) and Tommy O'Connor (14) lead UC in walks and Cross ranks 17th in the country individually. UC has drawn double-digit walks twice this year, including a high of 12 against Northern Illinois on March 2.

// BIG DAY FOR KAMERON GUIDRY
Kameron Guidry had a career day in the finale at Kansas State, going 3-for-6 with two home runs and five RBI, setting new career highs in hits, homers, and RBI.

His first home run was a two-run blast in the sixth inning and his second homer was also a two-run shot, this one coming in the top of the 12th. It was the second multi-homer game of the year for a Bearcat, with Landyn Vidourek achieving that feat against Northern Kentucky.
