CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati lacrosse freshman midfielder Hailey Joy Simpson earned back-to-back AAC Freshman of the Week honors alongside senior attacker Lauren Ottensmeyer, who grabbed Honor Roll.

Simpson continues to be a strong addition to the roster, registering a career-high four goals with a .526 shooting percentage against Xavier on Sunday.

Powered by her eighth hat trick of the season, Ottensmeyer grabbed her first honor roll accolade of the season, the third of her career as a Bearcat.

Against Louisville, she recorded a career-high six goals. She finished with six points, eight shots and one groundball.

The senior also led the Bearcats to a 20-1 victory over the Musketeers with five goals, one assist, six points and nine shots. Cincinnati is 6-2 when Ottensmeyer scores three or more goals.

Cincinnati hits the road for a spring break matchup against Wofford on March 14, before beginning conference play at Old Dominion on March 17.
