CINCINNATI – The Cincinnati lacrosse team heads on the road for two spring break matchups, beginning on Thursday with Wofford before entering conference play with Old Dominion on Sunday.
Cincinnati (6-3) currently sits third in the AAC, just behind nationally ranked #4 James Madison and #13 Florida.
In this week's conference accolades, freshman midfielder Hailey Joy Simpson nabbed her second Freshman of the Week honors thanks to a career-high four goals against Xavier. She has started in Cincinnati's last four contests, scoring one or more goals in each one.
Powered by her eighth hat trick of the season, Ottensmeyer grabbed her first honor roll award of the season, the third of her career as a Bearcat.
The senior also led the Bearcats to a 20-1 victory over the Musketeers with five goals, one assist, six points and nine shots. Cincinnati is 6-2 when Ottensmeyer scores three or more goals.
Sophomore Camryn Callaghan is seven goals shy of surpassing 100 career goals, the only Bearcat to achieve this accolade in their first two seasons in the program.

Junior Bria Foley leads the team with 14 assists for 23 points, while senior Addison Witkowski leads in goals with 10. Foley set a school record and tied the Big South record with 13 points against Stetson.
