CINCINNATI— The University of Cincinnati track and field program begins its outdoor season campaign at the Black and Gold Invitational on Friday in Orlando, Fla.
The Black and Gold Invitational is hosted by UCF and held inside the UCF Track and Field / Soccer Complex.
The two-day meet will begin Friday at 11 a.m., with the women's discus while Saturday's events will commence at 10 a.m., with the women's hammer throw. The complete event schedule can be found here.

This meet will be the first of 12 Cincinnati has on the schedule for the outdoor season. It will be the first of the three regular-season meets the Bearcats will attend that are hosted by current or future members of the Big 12. UC will attend Arizona's Jim Click Shoot Out and Multi's and Baylor's Michael Johnson Invitational later in the season.
Last season Cincinnati set a program record with 19 individual event East First Round qualifiers and had six Bearcats advance to the 2023 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Of the six 2023 NCAA championships qualifiers, four returned for another season: shot put thrower Fred Moudani-Likibi, pole vaulter Abby Knouff, high jumper Annika Kinley and javelin thrower Leonie Troeger.
Moudani-Likibi earned First Team All-America honors in the shot put after finishing third overall at the 2023 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

The Bearcats will be back in action the week of March 29-30 as Cincinnati will host its lone home meet of the season, the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational. It will also be a split squad weekend a select group of distance runners will travel to NC State to compete in the Raleigh Relays.
