SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Cincinnati lacrosse team captured a 15-11 victory over Wofford, Thursday inside Gibbs Stadium.

Wofford jumped out to a 3-0 lead, as Cincinnati's first goal was ruled no good due to a stick violation.
 
The Bearcats responded with a goal from freshman Ally Keith to close out the first quarter. She has five this season.
 
Eight unanswered goals gave Cincinnati the 9-3 lead with eight minutes left in the second quarter. Half of those came from the sophomore duo of Camryn Callaghan (2) and Lexie Wolfe (2). Grace Jenny, Ava Goeller, Hailey Joy Simpson and Keith each registered one.
 
Back-to-back goals from Kylie Gioia extended UC's led to 11-6 midway through the third quarter.
 
Senior Lauren Ottensmeyer grabbed her first of the day from a Wofford turnover occurring on the other side of the field.
 
 A free-position goal by Wofford brought the Terriers within three to start the fourth quarter.
 
Ottensmeyer secured her ninth hat trick of the season with two massive goals that pushed Cincinnati's momentum forward.
 
Graduate student goalie Victoria Macres remained in the cage all game, providing the Bearcats with several clutch saves. She recorded 11 on a .500 save percentage.
 
Graduate student Dani Mlkvy finished with eight groundballs and four caused turnovers.
 
Cincinnati heads into conference play with a 7-3 record.
