TicketsCINCINNATI – Big 12 Conference play is coming to UC Baseball Stadium this weekend as Cincinnati hosts Kansas in its first-ever Big 12 home series.
UC's conference home opener is set for Friday, March 15 at 5 PM. The Bearcats and Jayhawks will face off again on Saturday, March 16 at 2 PM and conclude their series on Sunday, March 17 at noon.
There will be a tailgate area near the Oscar Robertson statue outside Fifth Third Arena prior to Friday's home opener with inflatables, games, and face painters, in addition to $5 Cincy Lights until first pitch. The tailgate will begin at 3 PM and all fans are welcome to attend to celebrate UC's first-ever Big 12 home game.
Concessions deals for this weekend include $1 hot dogs on Friday, $3 sodas and $5 kids meals on Saturday, and green beers and Irish coffees for St. Patrick's Day on Sunday.
The Bearcats have played well at home so far this season, boasting a 7-2 mark while outscoring teams 94-48.
Cincinnati is 3-0 all-time against Kansas after sweeping a home series on April 27-29, 2018. UC won the first game in that series, 4-3, before winning game two by a score of 7-6 in 13 innings and taking the finale, 9-3.
UC will hit the road for its next nine games, a stretch that begins next Wednesday at Miami. Following the midweek matchup vs. the RedHawks, Cincinnati will head to St. Louis next weekend for a three-game series against the Saint Louis Billikens.

Cincinnati split its two-game midweek series against Western Illinois, bouncing back to win 8-3 on Wednesday after falling 12-11 on Tuesday.
In Wednesday's victory, UC jumped out to an early 4-0 lead in the bottom of the first and never looked back. The Bearcats pounded out 12 hits and kept the Leathernecks out of the hit column until the fourth inning, controlling the game at the plate and on the mound.
Kameron Guidry's three-run homer in the first was the big swing of the day and was also his fifth home run in a three-game span. Carson Marsh was fantastic, striking out a season-best six in 3.1 perfect innings.

He has homered in three straight games and is hitting .462 with five home runs, 12 RBI, and seven runs scored over the last three contests. The senior infielder hit two home runs at Kansas State last Sunday, two more against Western Illinois on Tuesday, and added another on Wednesday.
