CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women's tennis team heads to Morgantown, W.Va. to go head-to-head against the Mountaineers on Friday at the Summit Tennis Academy. First serve against West Virginia is set for 1 p.m. ET.
The match can be streamed on the Big 12 Now ESPN+ broadcast.
The Bearcats vaulted back into the win column on Wednesday, defeating Dayton, 5-2, as they notched the doubles point and four singles wins.
Sophomore Rozalia Gruszczynska set the tone in singles for Cincinnati on court one, defeating Marra Bruce 6-1, 6-0, improving her season record to 7-5 in singles play.
SCOUTING THE MOUNTAINEERS
This marks the fifth meeting between the Bearcats and the Mountaineers in program history.
West Virginia has the edge in the five meetings at 3-2, but the Bearcats have won the last two matchups.
The last meeting between these two programs came on Feb. 25, 2011. The Bearcats won the match, 5-2.
The Mountaineers bring an 11-5 overall record and 0-4 conference record this season into the match.
West Virginia is in the midst of a four-game losing streak after winning 11 of its first 12 matches. The Mountaineers are coming off a 6-1 loss against No. 20 Oklahoma on March 10.
