MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – The University of Cincinnati women's tennis team (6-7) was downed by West Virginia, 7-0, on Friday at the Mountaineer Tennis Courts.
West Virginia snagged the doubles point.
Court two is where the doubles point was decided. Junior Callie Flanagan and graduate student Victoire de Samucewicz fell to Maya Bordereau and Maja Dodik, 6-4.
In singles, West Virginia won all six matches.
Freshman Gabrielle Guenther clashed against Maja Dodik on court three. Guenther narrowly fell in the first set, 7-5, but bounced back in the second set winning, 6-2. Ultimately, Dodik won the match after taking the third set 1(10)-0(5).
UP NEXT:
The Bearcats return home to take on UCF on Friday, March 22, at the Trabert-Talbert Tennis Center. First serve against the Knights is set for 1 p.m. ET.
