ORLANDO, Fla.— The University of Cincinnati track and field program concluded its outdoor season-opening meet, the Black and Gold Invitational, on Saturday inside the UCF Track and Field Complex.

Bearcats used central Florida's good weather to their advantage and recorded three program top-10  marks and multiple personal bests throughout the weekend.

Freshman standout sprinter Davenae Fagan picked up right where she left off during the indoor season. On Friday, she clocked a 23.77 in the women's 200m to begin her outdoor campaign. Her collegiate personal best was the ninth-fastest time in program history.

On Saturday, the Stone Mountain, Ga., native followed up her day one performance by running her second UC top-10 time of the weekend as she ran an 11.84 in the women's 100m dash, the 10th-best mark in school history. Including indoor events, she has now recorded six UC top-10 marks this year.

After missing the majority of the indoor season due to injury, graduate student Keco Morrison had an impressive season opener as he placed second overall in the men's 400m with a time of 46.85. His time currently sits as the third-best mark in the country.

Sophomore Spirit Morgan cleared an outdoor personal best of 1.79m / 5' 10" in the women's high jump and finished second overall in the competition. Her mark moved her up two spots in the record book, as she now holds the seventh-best outdoor mark in program history.

Other notable finishes included graduate student Giovanni Gutierrez placing third in the men's shot put (17.34m / 56' 10.75") and graduate student Hannah Jackson placing sixth overall in both the women's shot put (14.65m / 48' 0.75") and in the women's hammer throw (54.08m / 177' 5").
