TicketsCINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women's tennis team returns home this weekend to host UCF and Houston.
The Bearcats open the weekend against the Knights on Friday at the Trabert-Talbert Tennis Center. First serve against UCF is set for 12 p.m. ET.
Cincinnati then faces off against the Cougars on Sunday at the Trabert-Talbert Tennis Center if the weather permits it. If the weather doesn't cooperate then the match will be held at the Western Athletic Club. First serve against Houston is at 12 p.m. ET.
The Bearcats (6-7) are looking to bounce back this weekend after falling to West Virginia on March 15.
SCOUTING THE KNIGHTS
These two programs last faced off against each other on Feb. 7, 2015. The Bearcats won the match, 4-3.
UCF brings a 4-10 overall record and 1-5 conference record this season into the match.
The Knights are coming off a two-game homestand where they dropped two games against No. 21 Oklahoma (4-3) and No. 7 Texas (4-0). Their lone conference win was against TCU, where they won 4-3.
UCF junior Sophia Biolay, who mainly plays out of the two spot, is the 119th-ranked singles player according to ITA. Biolay recently beat Oklahoma's No. 72 Alina Shcherbinina 6-1, 6-2, and holds an 8-3 overall record.
SCOUTING THE COUGARS
Houston is undefeated in its matchups against the Bearcats, holding an all-time record of 3-0.
The Cougars are currently in an 11-game losing skid, having only garnered one point in their last seven matches.
Houston's lone win came in their season opener on Jan. 28 against Louisiana, narrowly defeating the Ragin Cajuns, 4-3.
