CINCINNATI— The University of Cincinnati football program will send eight NFL prospects to 2024 Big 12 Pro Day, presented by the Air Force Reserve.
The eight Bearcats are among 137 prospects who will participate in the inaugural conference-wide Pro Day which will take place in Frisco, Texas at the Ford Center at The Star from Wednesday to Saturday.
The NFL Network will host an hour-long Big 12 Pro Day show from 8 to 9 p.m. ET on Thursday and Friday.
Two-time All-Conference honoree and 2023 team captain Jowon Briggs leads the way for Cincinnati at the event. The 6-2, 297-pounder is a Cincinnati native who starred at Walnut Hills High School before starting his career at Virginia, where he was a Freshman All-American in 2019. He transferred to Cincinnati in 2021 and was a valuable member of the Bearcats' defensive line during the team's run to an undefeated regular season and appearance in the College Football Playoff.
Briggs will workout on Saturday. He started the final 25 games of his career at defensive tackle, collected All-AAC First Team accolades in 2022 before nabbing All-Big 12 honorable mention honors in 2023.
All 32 NFL teams are expected to be attendance.
