TicketsSTILLWATER – The Cincinnati women's tennis team fell, 4-0, to No. 1 Oklahoma State on Saturday at the Greenwood Tennis Center.
The top-ranked Cowgirls improved to 21-0 on the season, the Bearcats dropped to 7-10.
Graduate student Victoire de Samucewicz took the first set from No. 65-ranked Lucia Peyre on Court 2 for the Bearcats, but the match went unfinished.
Oklahoma State took the doubles point with the pair of Anastasiya Komar and Safiya Carrington taking down sophomore Rozalia Gruszczynska and freshman Gabrielle Guenther, 6-2, on Court 1 and the team of Ayumi Miyamoto and Ange Oby Kajuru defeating junior Callie Flanagan and de Samucewicz, 6-1.
In singles, Oby Kajuru beat Gruszczynska, 6-2, 6-0, on Court 1, and Carrington defeated Guenther, 6-2, 6-2, on Court 3.
Novak took down Watanabe, 6-1, 6-0, on Court 5.
The rest of the matches did not finish.
