PROVO, UtahBYU flexed its home-court advantage and was able to defeat Cincinnati, 7-0, on Thursday afternoon.

Doubles were a tough deal for the Bearcats, who actually took BYU's No. 52 pairing to a 4-2 decision. Gabrielle Guenther and Rozalia Gruszcynska had that draw and are now 10-8 on the year together.

Sakurako Watanabe went to a third set, seeking to take sole possession of second place in singles wins this year.

It marked the first all-time meeting between the teams and UC's furthest trip of the season.
