CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women's tennis team (8-14) was downed by Texas Tech, 4-0, on Saturday at the Mcleod Tennis Center.
Mariya Polishchuk and Cristina Tiglea secured the doubles point for TTU on court No. 2
Freshman Gabrielle Guenther and junior Callie Flanagan were battling against their opponents before the match was called.
Flanagan dropped a tightly contested first set, 6-4. In the second set, the Kansas native was just trailing 3-2 on court No. 4.
On court No. 3 Guenther dropped the first set 5-2 but bounced back in the second set. The Indiana native was down 5-4 in set two when the match was called.
UP NEXT
Cincinnati is off to Stillwater, Okla. for the Big 12 Championships. The championships start on April 17 and end on April 20.
