PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Cincinnati lacrosse team fell to Temple, 9-13, on Saturday afternoon inside Howarth Field.
Cincinnati (10-5, 3-2) started off hot with two straight goals from Hailey Joy Simpson and Ava Goeller. Temple quickly responded with four unanswered goals to take the lead heading into the break.
The Owls dominated the third quarter scoring five goals and holding the Bearcats to just one.
Camryn Callaghan broke Temple's scoring run with a free-position goal. Callaghan and Goeller led UC with three.
Lauren Ottensmeyer registered her first of the day with 10:34 left in the fourth to bring Cincinnati within two. However, the Bearcats wouldn't be able to overcome the Owls' strength on both sides.
Victoria Macres recorded nine saves with a .409 save percentage.
