CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati baseball team opens a five-game homestand this week with midweek contests vs. Eastern Kentucky and Xavier.
The Bearcats welcome EKU on Tuesday and will host the Musketeers on Wednesday. First pitch for both games is set for 5 PM at UC Baseball Stadium on and both games will be broadcast ESPN+.
Tuesday's game will be the 68th all-time between UC and Eastern Kentucky, and Cincinnati has won the last nine meetings. These two teams faced off at EKU last year and the Bearcats won, 10-5.
Wednesday's game will be the third meeting between crosstown rivals Cincinnati and Xavier this season. They have split the season series, with the Musketeers winning at home on Feb. 27 and UC winning at Prasco Park last week in the Joe Nuxhall Classic.
Following its two midweek games, UC will welcome Houston to UC Baseball Stadium for three Big 12 games this weekend.

Tuesday will be "The Office" Night at the ballpark and Wednesday will be Country Music Night, with themed games on the concourse during each game. At the concessions stands, fans will be able to enjoy $5 Cincy Lights each day before first pitch as well as $1 hot dogs at each game.

Cincinnati is coming off a three-game series at Oklahoma State this past weekend and dropped all three games vs. the Cowboys.
The Bearcats lost in extras on Friday, 8-4, before falling 12-5 on Saturday and 10-6 on Sunday. Seth Logue had the top individual weekend for UC, throwing six hitless innings in relief in Friday's game. He tied a career-high with nine strikeouts and allowed just two baserunners in his six innings of work.

Eastern Kentucky is 10-25 entering play on Tuesday and snapped a four-game losing streak by winning its finale vs. Queens on Sunday. EKU has played seven games against ranked opponents this season and is 3-10 when playing away from home. Connor Davis (.362) and Max Williams (.339) are the team's leading hitters and the only hitters batting above .300 this season.
