The freshmen partnership of Morgan Pyrz and Sakurako Watanabe were leading 4-3 on court No. 3 when the doubles point was decided.
In singles, the Red Raiders won three matches to secure the match.
Graduate student Victoire de Samucewicz was in a first-set battle, knotted at 6-6 versus Mariya Polishchuk when the match was called.
