CINCINNATI – Nasty Nati, the Cincinnati alumni team hosting The Basketball Tournament's (TBT) regional at Fifth Third Arena from July 19-24, today announced the roster addition of former Bearcat Troy Caupain.

Caupain joins Cincinnati alums Jacob Evans, Jarron Cumberland, Mamoudou Diarra, Marquez Letcher-Ellis as the first five commitments for Nasty Nati's roster.

Caupain starred for Nasty Nati last summer, averaging 6.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, and a team high 4.5 assists per game while helping the team win the Xavier Regional.

Caupain played four years at Cincinnati, appearing in 137 total games and starting 102. Caupain's Bearcat teams qualified for the NCAA Tournament all four years. He averaged 11.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 4.6 assists over his final two seasons. Caupain was named First Team All-AAC as a junior, and Second Team All-AAC his senior season. Caupain left Cincinnati with 515 career assists, which is most all-time in program history.

Professionally, Caupain signed with the Lakeland Magic of the NBA G-League in 2017. He made his NBA debut for the Orlando Magic on a two way contract on December 31, 2018. After leaving the Magic organization, Caupain has gone on to play in multiple leagues across Europe. He currently plays for UCAM Murcia CB in Spain.

Nasty Nati will be joined in the Cincinnati Regional this summer alongside Team Gibson, India Rising, Red Rose Thunder, and four other teams, all vying for TBT's $1 million grand prize.
