TicketsCINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women's tennis team (8-10) gathered its seventh sweep of the season against Northern Kentucky as the Bearcats beat the Norse 7-0, on Wednesday at the Western Athletic Club.
The Bearcats gained the doubles point.
Freshman Morgan Pyrz and sophomore Isabel Pacheco were paired with each other for the second time this season and showed out, defeating Didi Steenhuis and Catharina Cardoso, 6-0.
Sophomore Rozalia Gruszczynska and freshman Gabrielle Guenther closed out the doubles point on court No. 1 taking down Angela Rinaldi and Mariajose Hernandez 6-2. The win moves Gruszczynska and Guenther to a team-best nine doubles wins.
Cincinnati continued its good play in singles, securing all six matches.
Junior Callie Flanagan dominated in her match defeating Rinaldi 6-0, 6-0 on court No. 4.
On court No. 6 Pyrz made quick work of Steenhuis notching a 6-0, 6-1 win. This gives Pyrz a 5-2 record in singles.
