LEXINGTON, Ky. — The University of Cincinnati track and field program once again battled weather delays on Thursday as the Bearcats wrapped up day two of the NCAA East First Rounds in Lexington.
Due to the inclement weather in the area the women's pole vault was postponed to Friday. Cincinnati junior Abby Knouff and the rest of the women's pole vaulters will compete tomorrow at 10 a.m.
Graduate student Hannah Jackson closed out her Cincinnati career by placing 28th in the women's hammer throw with a mark of 57.19m / 187' 7". Jackson leaves UC with both the second-best hammer throw and weight throw marks in school history.
Freshman Davenae Fagan had little time to rest on Thursday as she ran in both the 400m and 200m. She began her day by running a 45.29 in the 400m and placed 36th overall.
A little over an hour later Fagan was back on the track for the women's 200m. She clocked a personal best time of 23.43 and placed 29th overall. Her personal best is now the fifth-best time in program history.
Graduate student Hannah Connell concluded her collegiate career by placing 27th in the 100m hurdles with a time of 13.45. Connell was two-tenths of a second away from qualifying for the quarterfinals.
