Crye and Gubeno Wrap Up Olympic Trials

CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati swimming and diving stars Joleigh Crye and Hunter Gubeno wrapped up a week of competition at the 2024 Olympic Trials in Indianapolis, Ind.

CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati swimming and diving stars Joleigh Crye and Hunter Gubeno wrapped up a week of competition at the 2024 Olympic Trials in Indianapolis, Ind.

Crye began the week with the 100-meter breaststroke, where she recorded a 1:08.70, advancing her to the semi-finals. Later that night, she finished 16th overall with a 1:08.93.

Gubeno continued the excitement by securing a spot in the 200-meter backstroke semi-finals after recording a school record time of 1:59.34. He went on to finish 15th overall with a time of 2:00.92.

He rounded out his second Olympic Trials with the 200-meter individual medley where he finished 56th, notching a time of 2:03.25.

Incoming freshman, Owen Chiles finished 76th in the 200-meter individual medley with a time of 2:04.53.
