CINCINNATI -- The University of Cincinnati's men's golf success continued into the thick of summer with Ryan Ford, Ty Gingerich and William McDonald all earning US Amateur qualifying status.

The event is held August 12-18 at the Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minn.

Gingerich, whose career came to a close as UC's first-ever Big 12 champion in any sport, earned exemption from the qualifying rounds for winning the Indiana State Amateur title. He also boasts Ohio honors for that in 2022.

Ford's tie for ninth last week at the Ohio State University Golf Club's Scarlet Course earned him the nod. McDonald had a 3-under 67 in Dallas on Monday to claim his. Ford has two years of eligibility remaining, while McDonald has one.
