Paris, FRANCE – Vanessa Giles and the Canada Women's Soccer National Team's Olympic journey comes to an end in the quarterfinals after falling to Germany in penalty-kicks 4-2 on Saturday.
Gilles notched one shot and was featured in the starting lineup for the fourth-straight game.
Germany advances to the semifinals and will face Team USA on Aug. 6.
Game 3 vs. Colombia
Paris, FRANCE – Vanessa Gilles and the Canada Women's Soccer National Team are headed to the Olympic Quarterfinals after defeating Colombia, 1-0 on Wednesday.
Canada's lone goal came from Gilles in the 61st minute. This is the second-straight game she has scored the game-winning goal.
Team Canada will face Germany on Aug. 3 at 1 p.m. ET.
Game 2 vs. France
Paris, FRANCE – Vanessa Gilles and the Canada Women's Soccer National Team defeated France on Sunday, 2-1.
The former Bearcat secured the win for Team Canada with the game-winning goal coming in the 102nd minute.
Gilles found herself in a prime position to put Canada ahead against the host country and keep their Olympic medal dreams alive. She finished with one goal and one shot.
Canada returns to the pitch July 31 at 3 p.m. ET to take on Colombia.

Paris, FRANCE – Former Bearcat Vanessa Gilles and the Canada Women's Soccer National Team defeated New Zealand on Thursday in Paris, 2-1.
Gilles was featured in the starting lineup and notched five shots.
Team Canada was led by Cloe Lacasse and Evelyne Viens who each recorded a goal.
Canada is back in action on July 28 at 3 p.m. ET against France.
