CINCINNATI – The Cincinnati men's basketball program will host its second-annual Tip-Off Dinner, presented by the Herche Family Foundation Inc., on Tuesday, Oct. 1 inside Fifth Third Arena (6 – 8 p.m.). This year's event will feature Hall of Fame Broadcaster Marty Brennaman as master of ceremonies, and Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Coach Roy Williams as the featured speaker.
Tickets are available here, including a reserved ticket for $75 and a VIP ticket for $250. The reserved ticket includes a reserved seat, buffet dinner and cash bar. The VIP tickets include reserved seating at a preferred table, a parking pass, buffet dinner, access to the VIP bar, and a VIP reception with the UC men's basketball coaching staff and players.
All proceeds from the exclusive night will directly benefit Cincinnati student-athletes through the Cincy Reigns collective. If you are interested in sponsorship opportunities, please contact the UCATS office at 513-556-4884.
Attendees will receive an inside look at the upcoming season, visit with current and former players and have an opportunity to bid on one-of-a-kind silent auction items. The evening will be highlighted by a fireside chat between Miller and Williams, his former coach at North Carolina. The chat will feature insight into the 2024-25 Bearcats, the college basketball landscape, and certainly some insight into Miller's time as a player.
Miller's time playing for Williams included the 2004-05 season, the first of three national titles in Williams' storied career. Williams retired in 2021 with a 903-264 overall coaching record and a 2007 induction in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
Williams, who has visited campus multiple times in his retirement, has been a vocal supporter of Cincinnati Men's Basketball and his former player.
"As a player at North Carolina he came closer to reaching his full potential than any player I've ever coached," he said upon Miller's hiring. "His energy, his determination, his intelligence, and his care for young people convinces me that he will continue at that level. I am so happy for him and the University of Cincinnati basketball program."
