CINCINNATI – For the eighth consecutive season, a Cincinnati Bearcat has earned NFL All-Pro First Team honors from the Associated Press following the selections of Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce and New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner last week.

Kelce collected AP All-Pro accolades for the third straight season and the sixth time overall, while Gardner snagged honors for the second straight season, becoming the first cornerback to earn First Team All-Pro in his first two seasons since the 1970 NFL-AFL merger.

Kelce's brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, started the eight-year streak of Cincinnati alums earning All-Pro honors in 2016. Travis Kelce is a four-time All-Pro.

Jason Kelce started all 17 regular-season games this season, leading the Eagles to an 11-6 mark and a third-straight trip to the playoffs. His 80.7 grade from Pro Football Focus made him the highest-graded center who played 1,000 snaps. He set an Eagles record for consecutive regular-season starts with 156 and tied the franchise mark for All-Pro selections, joining NFL Hall of Famers Reggie White and Chuck Bednarik.

A former walk-on linebacker for the Bearcats, Jason Kelce played for Cincinnati from 2007 to 2010, earning All-BIG EAST honors as an offensive lineman twice.

Gardner started 16 games in 2023, tallying 11 passes defended and three TFLs for the Jets. He was Pro Football Focus' third-highest-graded cornerback (88.6). In 2022, he was named the NFL's Defensive Rookie of the Year.

Gardner was a two-time First Team All-American while playing at Cincinnati from 2019 to 2021, famously never giving up a touchdown over more than 1,000 collegiate snaps. He led UC to a pair of American Athletic Conference Championships and to the 2021 College Football Playoff Semifinals at the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic.

The AP All-Pro Teams are selected by a national panel of 50 sportswriters and broadcasters and are considered to be among the top individual honors an NFL player can receive.

Jason and Travis Kelce were both named to the NFLPA's All-Pro First Team for the second straight season earlier this month, as well.
