CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati volleyball team fell in four sets to No. 18-ranked TCU on Saturday in Fort Worth, Texas.
 
The Bearcats (11-7, 2-5 Big 12) won the opening set before dropping the next three to the Horned Frogs (13-4, 6-2 Big 12). TCU held the advantage in kills (67-49), service aces (9-1) and digs (41-31). 
 
Junior Carly Glendinning bounced back offensively with 12 kills at a .286 hitting percentage. Sophomore Sydney Nolan finished with nine kills at a .412 clip while sophomore Zeta Washington posted nine kills on 15 attempts (.467) to go along with three blocks. 
 
The first set saw 18 ties and six lead changes. Stewart scored the first three points for the Bearcats. Cincinnati led by four after a trio of kills (16-12). TCU fought back to take the lead and force a UC timeout at 20-19. The Bearcats fought off two set points to score the next three and win it in extras, 27-25. After several diving plays, Glendinninng notched the set-winning point from the backrow.
 
The Horned Frogs used a 5-0 run to lead by five at the second set media timeout (15-10). They led by as many as eight to run away with the frame, 25-19. The Bearcats could not get much going in the following two sets, falling 25-13 and 25-16, respectively.
