CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati baseball program will be hosting its Premier Catching Camp on Sunday, Oct. 27 at UC Baseball Stadium.
Led by UC's director of program development Kyle Schroeder, the camp is open to catchers only in grades 3-12.
Coach Schroeder is considered one of the top catching instructors in college baseball, having worked with college catchers for over 16 years. In just the last five seasons he has mentored four catchers who are now playing professional baseball, including former Bearcat and 2024 MLB Draft selection Josh Kross.
Registration for the Premier Catching Camp will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the camp will run from 10:00 a.m. through approximately 3:30 p.m. The cost to attend the camp is $175. Every catcher will participate in over 40 drills covering various aspects of catching: receiving, blocking, transfer / throwing, wild pitches, bunt, pop-ups, and tag plays.
UC's Premier Catching Camp is open to any and all entrants limited only by number, age, grade level, and/or gender.
