CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women's basketball team continues its homestand with a Wednesday night contest vs. Davidson. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. inside Fifth Third Arena.

- Cincinnati went 2-0 during its opening week with wins over UIC (66-54) and Delaware State (83-46). The Bearcats will look to open the season 3-0 for the first time since the 2015-16 campaign.
- Fifth year forward Jillian Hayes was named Big 12 Player of the Week on Monday. She becomes the first Bearcat to win a weekly Big 12 women's basketball honor in program history. She averaged a double-double across two wins, recording 20.5 points and 11.0 rebounds per game while shooting 61.5% from the field.
- Hayes was one of two Big 12 players to record multiple double-doubles during the first week of the season, tied for the most among all players nationally.
- Hayes posted her 25th career double-double vs. Delaware State. She dropped a career-high 30 points to go along with 11 rebounds while shooting 70.6% from the field (12-17 FG). She became the first Bearcat to post a 30-point game since IImar'I Thomas did so on March 8, 2021, and is one of four Big 12 players to reach the 30-point mark this season.
- Hayes ranks second in the Big 12 in rebounding (11.0), seventh in scoring (20.5) and 12th in field goal percentage (.615).
- With 11 rebounds against Delaware State, Hayes moved up to fourth on UC's career rebounding list with 866, surpassing Doris Scott (1995-99). She is just seven rebounds shy of tying Ilmar'I Thomas (2018-21) for third place with 873.
- Redshirt junior Alliance Ndiba opened her season with back-to-back games of 10 rebounds. The Arizona Western transfer previously tallied double-digit boards in 36 of her 57 JUCO games.
- Junior A'riel Jackson posted 13 points (5-10 FG), five rebounds, and tied her career-high with five assists in the win over Delaware State. This marked her 14th career game in double figures and her second straight.
- Cincinnati won the rebounding battle vs. Delaware State, owning a plus-21 advantage on the glass (50-29). This marks the fourth game in the Merriweather era at Cincinnati with 50 rebounds or more. Across her career, Merriweather's teams have achieved this feat in 46 games.
- Cincinnati shot 45.9% from the field (34-74 FG) and 36.8% from beyond the arc (7-19 3FG) against Delaware State, recording 19 assists on 34 made field goals. It marked the Bearcats' highest assist total since dishing out 21 against Howard on December 13, 2023.
- The Bearcats blocked eight shots in the win, their highest total since recording 11 against Tulane on March 6, 2023. Hayes, Ndiba and Byrd each recorded two stuffs.
- Delaney Snyder and Ramiyah Byrd each recorded personal bests with six rebounds against Delaware State. Byrd contributed five points, while Snyder added four.
- Senior transfer point guard Tineya Hylton scored a career-high 20 points on 6-of-12 shooting in the season opener at UIC. She is currently averaging 14.0 points, 5.0 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game.
- Freshman Chloe Mann averaged 8.0 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game in the first week of her career.
- In the program's record books, Hayes sits third in blocks (129), fourth in free throws made (412), fifth in rebounds (866), eighth in steals (183) and 14th in scoring (1,340).
