CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women's basketball team wraps up its three-game homestand with a Monday night contest against Seton Hall. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. inside Fifth Third Arena.

THE RUNDOWN
  • Cincinnati has started the season 3-0 for the first time since 2015-16.
  • Jillian Hayes and Tineya Hylton combined for 40 points in UC's 68-50 win over Davidson. It marked the first time Cincinnati had two 20-point scorers in a game since Hayes (21 points) and Mya Jackson (24 points) vs. Toledo on Nov. 16, 2022.
  • The Bearcats begin a tough stretch where they will face three straight opponents who qualified for postseason play a year ago: Seton Hall (WBIT), Georgetown (WBIT) and FGCU (NCAA Tournament).
  • Head coach Katrina Merriweather announced the signing of five players on National Signing Day. The class is currently ranked No. 7 by ASGR Hoops, marking the highest-ranked class in program history.
  • Hylton has set and matched her career high of 20 points in two of the first three games. She is averaging 16.0 points to go along with a team-best 5.3 assists per game.
  • Hayes is averaging nearly a double-double with 20.3 points and 9.7 rebounds and is shooting 63.2% from the field this season. She sits second in the Big 12 in scoring and field goal percentage and third in rebounding (9.7).
  • Hayes has recorded two double-doubles, which currently leads the Big 12 and ranks ninth nationally. She is one of five Big 12 athletes to score 30-or-more points in a game this season.
  • Hayes is now tied for second all-time in program history in blocked shots (131) and third in rebounds (873).
  • Redshirt junior Alliance Ndiba has opened her Bearcat career with three consecutive games of 10+ rebounds. She is the first Bearcat to start a season with 10+ boards since Loyre Harper in 1992-93.
  • Ndiba ranks second in the conference and 31st nationally in rebounding (10.3). She also sits fifth in the league in blocks per game (2.0).
  • Hayes was named Big 12 Player of the Week for the first week of the season. She became the first Bearcat to win a weekly Big 12 women's basketball honor in program history.
  • Among active career leaders in Division I, Hayes is fifth in FT made (416), 18th in rebound (873) and 29th in doubles-doubles (25).
  • The Bearcats had just six turnovers vs. Davidson, their fewest since Nov. 28, 2019 at Bucknell. Cincinnati ranks first in the league in fewest turnovers per game, committing just nine per contest.
  • The Bearcats blocked eight shots vs. Delaware State, their highest total since recording 11 against Tulane on March 6, 2023. They were one shy of tying the Fifth Third Arena record.
  • Cincinnati pulled down 50 rebounds vs. Delaware State. It marked the fourth game in the Merriweather era at Cincinnati with 50 rebounds or more. Across her career, Merriweather's teams have achieved this feat in 46 games.

A WIN WOULD…
  • Give UC its best start since 2011-12, when the Bearcats won six to start the year
  • Snap a two-game losing streak to Seton Hall
  • Even the series with Seton Hall at 5-5

MILESTONE WATCH
  • Hayes is 12 blocks away from becoming UC's career blocked shots leader.
  • Hayes is 27 blocks from 900 in her career. She would be the third player in program history to reach the milestone.
