CINCINNATI – Cincinnati football and men's basketball radio voice Dan Hoard received the Marty Glickman Award for Leadership in Sports Media from Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Public Communications earlier this week.
A 1985 graduate of Syracuse, Hoard is in his 25th year calling Bearcats football on the radio. He is also the play-by-play voice for the Cincinnati Bengals, the only broadcaster in the country to serve as the voice of an NFL and college football team.
Previous winners of the award include Mike Tirico, Bob Costas, Sean McDonough, Beth Mowins, Ian Eagle, Marv Albert, and Dick Stockton.
Hoard is a four-time Ohio Sportscaster of the Year honoree and was inducted into the University of Cincinnati James P. Kelly Athletics Hall of Fame in 2019.

His legendary broadcasting career began at radio station WHN in New York City in 1939. Glickman's legendary career helped to establish the University's reputation of producing successful professionals in sports media.
