CINCINNATI – For the fourth time this season, Faith Frame has been named the Big 12 Rookie of the Week.
The Gretna, Neb., native was instrumental in UC's thrilling five-set victory over No. 24 BYU, racking up a match-high 24 digs to help secure the upset. Her defensive efforts helped the Bearcats hold a commanding 74-56 advantage in digs. The win also marked Cincinnati's first victory over a ranked opponent since 2019.
Frame has posted double-digit digs in 19 matches this season, including five matches with 20-or-more digs. She ranks sixth in the league for the category (4.07).
Frame's four Rookie of the Week honors are tied for the most by any Big 12 freshman this season and are the most by a Bearcat since Jordan Thompson earned AAC Player of the Week recognition seven times during her historic 2019 season.
UC will return to action on Wednesday vs. No. 16 Baylor at 1 p.m. inside Fifth Third Arena.
