BLOOMINGTON, Ind – The University of Cincinnati swimming and diving program completed competition against Indiana on Friday evening.
The women were defeated 171-123, while the men fell 184.5-107.5.
The Bearcats were led by graduate student Hunter Gubeno who grabbed first in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:41.20
Senior Kaylee Nagel and sophomore Lindi Worrell each finished third in the 100-yard freestyle (50.38) and 100 breaststroke (1:02.55), respectively.
Freshman Owen Chiles grabbed second in the 200-yard individual medley notching a time of 1:47.08.
On the diving side, senior Will Claus recorded a NCAA Zone Cut score in the 3-meter dive with a score of 337.43. Sophomore Langely Petersen finished fifth in the 1-meter (246.75) and sixth in the 3-meter (246.90).
Cincinnati will travel to Coral Gables, Fla. for a tri-meet against the University of Miami and Florida Atlantic University on Dec. 14. Select athletes will also compete in the CSCAA Open Water Championships the following day.
