CINCINNATI -- The University of Cincinnati athletics department produced its third-straight semester with a 3.4 GPA or better (3.4058 overall) to highlight another stellar term in Clifton.

"We are very pleased to enter the summer on a strong note," Dr. Joe Luckey, Executive Senior Associate Athletics Director, said. "What makes it even more impressive for our student-athletes has been sustaining this in our first Big 12 season. Accomplishing these goals while battling increased competition on the field or court, as well as the travel it entails, is an outstanding testament to their drive as individuals."

Every team had at least a 3.0 mark. The women's soccer team's 3.75 clip was the highest on campus, while men's cross country was second with a 3.60. Other highs included 28 lacrosse players making the Dean's List and soccer having 11 TopCats.

Fifty-seven student-athletes boasted TopCat honors with a 4.0 mark, while 240 made the Dean's List at 3.4 or above. In all, 76 percent made the honor roll with at least a 3.0. This was the 32nd consecutive grading period for athletics at 3.0 or above and 13th-straight past the 3.3 threshold.
