CINCINNATI – The Cincinnati women's basketball team will hit the road to face 11th-ranked TCU at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday in Fort Worth, Texas.

THE RUNDOWN
  • Cincinnati (9-3, 1-1) scored 23 straight points to open the fourth quarter to complete a 13-point comeback in a 72-63 victory over BYU on Wednesday. It marked the largest comeback win of the Merriweather era, and the largest since the Bearcats overcame a 21-point deficit vs. Tulsa on Jan. 29, 2022.
  • The Bearcats outscored the Cougars 26-6 in the final frame and forced eight BYU turnovers over the final 10 minutes. BYU led 57-46 at the start of the fourth, but tenacious Cincinnati defense forced the Cougars to miss their first 13 shots of the final frame. BYU did not make a basket in the fourth quarter until 23 seconds remained.
  • The Bearcats are forcing 19.7 turnovers per game and remain unbeaten (7-0) when committing fewer turnovers than their opponents. Cincinnati's +7.08 turnover margin ranks second in the Big 12 and 25th nationally.
  • Cincinnati was led by fifth-year senior forward Jillian Hayes, who finished with 16 points and 13 rebounds for her seventh double-double of the season and 30th of her career. She tied her career high in free throws made (12-16 FT).
  • Hayes led four Bearcats in double figures with sophomore guard Reagan Jackson (13 points), junior guard A'riel Jackson (11) and redshirt junior Alliance Ndiba (10) joining the Cincinnati native.
  • A'riel Jackson scored six of her 11 points in the fourth quarter, converting a three-point play while being fouled on a layup before her game-altering 3-pointer. In Big 12 play, she is averaging 11.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists while shooting 71.4% from 3-point range.
  • Ndiba nearly recorded a double-double with 10 points (5-6 FG) and eight rebounds to go along with two blocks. She is averaging 8.3 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocks while shooting 77% from the field over her last three games. She ranks ninth in the Big 12 in blocking (1.2) and 11th in rebounding (7.2). She has led the team in blocks in six games, including the last two.
  • Hayes is averaging a double-double with 16.3 points and 10.1 rebounds per game while shooting 42.3% from the field this season. Her seven double-doubles lead the Big 12 and rank 13th nationally. She also sits second in the Big 12 in rebounding and 13th in scoring.
  • Hayes is five points shy of becoming the 10th Bearcat in program history to reach 1,500 career points. She is also two games away from becoming UC's games played leader.
  • Cincinnati leads the Big 12 in free throw percentage at 77.4% and ranks second nationally with 18.8 made free throws per game. Hayes leads the team in free throws made (70), which ranks second in the conference and 13th nationally.
  • Reagan Jackson is averaging 13.0 points while shooting 45.2% from the field over the last six games. She erupted for a career-high 29 points vs. Western Illinois, shooting 10-of-13 from the field and 5-of-8 from beyond the arc.
  • Senior guard Tineya Hylton has posted seven double-digit scoring performances this season, including four 20-point outings in the first eight games.
  • Among active career Division I leaders, Hayes ranks third in FTs (473), 17th in rebounds (965) and 26th in double-doubles (30).
  • Cincinnati has twice made 31 free throws in a game this season, the highest single-game total in the Big 12. It marks the program's best since converting 32 free throws against DePaul on February 8, 2001.
  • The Bearcats secured their best non-conference winning percentage (.800, 8-2) since the 2005-06 season (.909, 10-1).

A WIN WOULD...
  • Mark Cincinnati's first Big 12 road win
  • Give UC its first win over TCU since 2003, and first-ever win in Fort Worth
  • Be Cincinnati's first ranked win since 2011
