CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women's basketball team hits the road for a two-game stretch, starting with Arizona on Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET in Tucson.

THE RUNDOWN
  • Cincinnati overcame a 12-point deficit to defeat Colorado 65-59 on Saturday, powered by a dominant 28-14 fourth quarter. The victory marked the Bearcats' second straight Big 12 win. The Bearcats are 9-1 this season and 17-2 under Coach Merriweather when holding opponents to 59 points or fewer.
  • UC forced 21 turnovers against Colorado, converting them into 18 points. The Bearcats are 9-1 this season when committing fewer turnovers than their opponents. They force 19.6 turnovers per game, ranking fourth in the Big 12, with a +6.6 turnover margin (2nd in the Big 12, 27th nationally).
  • Cincinnati continued its strong performance at the free throw line, converting 19-of-26 attempts, with 11-of-15 coming in the second half. The Bearcats have now averaged 18.5 free throws made over their last two games and boast an 11-2 record when winning the free throw battle.
  • Senior guard Tineya Hylton led the Colorado rally with a career-high 27 points, including 18 in the fourth quarter. She shot 5-for-5 from the field and 7-of-9 from the line in the final frame. Over the last two games, Hylton has averaged 22.0 points and 4.0 rebounds while shooting 54.2%.
  • Freshman Chloe Mann recorded her second straight double-figure scoring performance with 11 vs. Colorado. She made a career-high three three-pointers, all coming in the first quarter. Over the last two games, Mann has averaged 12.5 points, shooting 35.7% from deep, and ranks top 10 in the Big 12 in free throw percentage (.814).
  • Redshirt junior Alliance Ndiba posted career highs in rebounds (12) and blocks (4) while contributing nine points, stepping up after Jillian Hayes fouled out. Nine of her boards came on the offensive glass. Cincinnati leads the Big 12 in offensive rebounds per game (13.5) in conference play.
  • Fifth year forward Jillian Hayes, UC's all-time leader in games played, is just nine rebounds away from becoming only the second player in program history to reach 1,000 career rebounds.
  • Hayes is averaging nearly a double-double with 15.6 points and 9.2 rebounds per game while shooting 42.9% from the field this season. Her seven double-doubles rank third in the Big 12 and 33rd nationally. She also sits second in the league in rebounding and 13th in scoring.
  • Ndiba ranks eighth in the Big 12 in both blocks (1.4 BPG) and rebounds (7.3 RPG). Her block percentage (8.6%), offensive rebound percentage (17.1%) and total rebound percentage (20.4%) would be program bests, dating back to 2002-03.
  • Hayes has notched 12 double-digit scoring performances this season, including five 20-point outings. She became the 10th Bearcat to reach 1,500 career points vs. TCU.
  • Hylton is a do-it-all playmaker for the Bearcats, leading the team in assists (3.1 APG) and steals (2.3 SPG) while ranking second in scoring (13.2 PPG). She has paced UC in scoring six times, dished out the most assists in 11 games, and led the team in steals on nine occasions.

Twice this season, the Bearcats have made 31 free throws in a game — the most by any Big 12 team and their highest since 2001.
  • Among active career Division I leaders, Hayes ranks third in FTs (488), 16th in rebounds (991) and 28th in double-doubles (30).
  • The Bearcats secured their best non-conference winning percentage (.800, 8-2) since the 2005-06 season (.909, 10-1).
  • Cincinnati is ranked 63rd nationally in the Jan. 19 NET.
