CINCINNATI – The 2025 college baseball season begins this weekend for the Cincinnati with a three-game series at No. 11 Duke.

First pitch for Opening Day on Friday is at 4:00 p.m., followed by a 3:00 p.m. game on Saturday. The finale on Sunday is slated to begin at 1:00 p.m. All three games will be streamed live on ACCNX, which is accessible with TV provider credentials on the ESPN app.

The second season of the Jordan Bischel era begins with a tough road test against a Blue Devils squad that has made three of the last four NCAA Tournaments. Duke was ranked No. 11 in D1Baseball's preseason Top 25 poll, the highest-ranked opponent UC has faced during its opening weekend since 2016 when it visited No. 5 LSU.

Cincinnati will be looking to build off a successful 2024 season, its first as a member of the Big 12. The Bearcats posted an overall record of 32-25 and a 17-13 conference mark, good for a fifth-place finish in the regular season. The 32 wins constitute UC's first 30-win season since 2019, and the program was among the "First Four Out" of last season's NCAA Tournament.

UC returns five All-Big 12 players from a year ago: seniors Lauden Brooks, Kerrington Cross, and Tommy O'Connor, junior Christian Mitchelle, and sophomore Nathan Taylor. Cross, Mitchelle, and Taylor were all named preseason All-Big 12, making Cincinnati one of two teams with at least three preseason all-conference honorees.

This will be the first meeting between Cincinnati and Duke since 2005, when the two teams met in Durham. UC swept that series and leads the all-time series, 10-7.

The last time Cincinnati opened the season on the road at a ranked opponent was 2021 at No. 25 Clemson.
