CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women's golf team will head to the Palmetto state for the Rivertowne Invitational.
The two-day tournament will take place at the par 72, 6,107-yard Rivertowne Country Club in Mount Pleasant, S.C. The action gets underway on Monday with 36 holes of play, starting at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start. The final round will start at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
Last time out, the team finished the FAU Paradise Invitational with a strong final round performance. The Bearcats posted a 289 in the final round, one of its best team rounds of the season. They improved three spots in the final round of the Invitational.
Ruby Chou concluded the tournament with a strong performance, shooting a three-under-par 69 in the final round. She finished the tournament tied for 27th place. Chou currently leads the Bearcats with a stroke average of 74.61 over the course of the 2024-25 campaign. She improved her total round score by 15 strokes coming off the last tournament of the fall. Yu-Wei Chiang also finished tied for 27th and posted a team-high 13 birdies in the tournament.
The Bearcats' lineup consists of Yu-Wei Chiang, Mar Garcia, Minoo Mousavi, Rim Imni and Ruby Chou. Lauren Pleiman will compete in the tournament as an individual.
Along with Cincinnati, the 14-team field features host Charleston Southern, Fairleigh Dickinson, The Citadel, North Carolina Asheville, Marshall, Elon, Richmond, Radford, North Carolina A&T, South Carolina Upstate, High Point, Long Island, and Winthrop.
