Astley Davies Wins Triple Jump, Notching the Bearcats Second Big 12 Title

University of Cincinnati track and field graduate student Astley Davis claimed the Bearcats' second Big 12 title of the championships after winning the triple jump with an impressive leap of 15.79m.

LUBBOCK, Texas – University of Cincinnati track and field graduate student Astley Davis claimed the Bearcats' second Big 12 title of the championships after winning the triple jump with an impressive leap of 15.79m.
 
The Kingston, Jamaica native came into the championship as the conference leader in the triple jump, with a mark of 16.22m. Davis achieved this feat at the Music City Challenge, taking down a 54-year-old school record set by Bearcat Hall of Famer Al Lanier in 1972.
