CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati baseball team opens a six-game homestand on Tuesday against Toledo at 3:00 p.m. at UC Baseball Stadium.
The Bearcats' home opener vs. the Rockets will be broadcast on ESPN+. The game was rescheduled from Wednesday to avoid potential weather that in the area that day.
New for 2025 at UC Baseball Stadium is a dedicated student section, Section 6, right behind the visiting dugout. The first 500 fans in attendance on Tuesday will also receive a Cincinnati Baseball 2025 magnet schedule.
Fans who have already purchased tickets to the game can attend Opening Day on Tuesday, March 4 using the same ticket, otherwise they can exchange their seat for an upcoming game this season by contacting the Bearcats Ticket Office at (513) 556-2287 or by email at uctickets@uc.edu.
Tuesday marks the 47th meeting all-time between Cincinnati and Toledo, with UC holding a 25-20-1 all-time record in the series. The last time these two teams faced off was March 16-18, 2018 when the Rockets visited for a three-game series. The Bearcats took two out of three that weekend.
The Bearcats, who just concluded an eight-game road trip out west, will be starting a six-game homestand on Tuesday that also includes a four-game series vs. Canisius next weekend (March 7-9) and a midweek matchup vs. Miami (Ohio) (March 11).

Toledo (4-6) spent the weekend in Richmond, Va. at the Central Virginia Challenge, facing VCU, William & Mary, and Richmond, capturing wins against the Rams and Tribe. Prior to that, the Rockets faced No. 12 Oregon (Feb. 14-16) and High Point (Feb. 22-24) on the road, capturing a victory against the nationally ranked Ducks on Feb. 15. The 5-3 win was UT's first against a ranked opponent since 2015. Toledo has seen success against Power Four opponents under head coach Rob Reinstetle, having defeated at least one in each of the last four seasons.

- Sophomore Nathan Taylor has been terrific to start the season. In three starts this year, Taylor is sporting a 1.59 ERA and has 26 strikeouts in 17.0 innings with just seven walks. His 26 K's lead the Big 12 and rank 16th nationally.
- Cincinnati's 22 stolen bases are tied for second in the Big 12, and junior Landyn Vidourek ranks third in the league with seven thefts.
- Senior Donovan Ford has started all 11 games in center field, the lone Bearcat to start all 11 games at the same position this season.
- Sophomore Jack Natili is UC's leading hitter at .316 and has been an ironman behind the plate, starting all four games at catcher at UC San Diego.
- Cincinnati is 8-2 in its last 10 home openers. UC defeated Northern Kentucky, 10-2, last year in its home opener.
