CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women's tennis team returns home to face off against two Big 12 opponents, Kansas State on Friday and Oklahoma State on Sunday.
 
First serve against the Wildcats is set for 1 p.m. ET on Friday and 12 p.m. ET on Sunday versus the Cowgirls. If the weather obliges, UC will host the matches outdoors, at the Trabert-Talbert Tennis Center, its on-campus courts.
 
Cincinnati (6-3) comes into the weekend after dropping two road contests against No. 15 Baylor (6-1) and TCU (4-0).
 
UC took the doubles point against No. 15 Baylor. Junior Rozalia Gruszczynska and sophomore Gabrielle Guenther dominated on court two, winning 6-1. On court three, graduate student Zeynep Erman and freshman Milica Popovski battled their way to a 6-4 victory, clinching the doubles point.
 
The Bearcats are led by Erman, the Istanbul, Turkey native owns a team-best 6-2 record on court one and a 5-2 doubles record.

Kansas State comes into the match presenting a 4-5 record and 1-1 record in conference play. The Wildcats won their last match against Houston, 4-0.
 
The Wildcats' doubles are led by the duo of Veronika Kulhava and Maria Santos, they present a mark of 4-2, playing on courts No. 1 and No. 3.  
 
In singles, Tereza Polakova boasts a team-best record of 4-2, competing on courts No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5.
 
// SCOUTING THE COWGIRLS
Oklahoma State enters the weekend with a record of 7-6 and 1-1 in conference play. Before heading to Cincinnati, the Cowgirls will take on West Virginia (6-7) on Friday.
 
OSU narrowly fell in its last outing against UCF, 4-3.
 
The Cowgirls' doubles are spearheaded by the duo of Anastasiya Komar and Rose Marie Nijkamp. Ranked 69th nationally, the pair has dominated opponents all season, boasting an impressive 9-2 record on court one.
 
In singles competition, Oklahoma State features two athletes among the nation's top 100. Gracie Epps leads the way at 49th in the country with a strong 7-4 record, while Anastasiya Komar holds the 81st position with a 5-5 mark.
