CINCINNATI – Cincinnati hosts Miami (Ohio) on Tuesday to wrap up a six-game homestand, with first pitch set for 6:00 p.m.

The Bearcats are 5-0 during their homestand after sweeping their four-game series vs. Canisius over the weekend. The sweep was clinched on Sunday with an emphatic 12-1 run-rule victory, a game that ended on Cal Sefcik's three-run home run in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Tuesday's game marks the 191st all-time meeting between Cincinnati and Miami, and the Bearcats have won the last two meetings in the series.

The last time these two teams met was last season on March 20, 2024 when UC won, 11-3, in Oxford. The Bearcats put up crooked numbers in the fifth and sixth innings of that game to open up a large lead and continued to push runs across in the later innings to put the game out of reach. Five UC hitters had multi-hit efforts: Lauden Brooks, Tommy O'Connor, Kerrington Cross, Luke Sefcik, and Landyn Vidourek. Sefcik and Vidourek also each drove in a pair of runs, as did Josh Kross and Hunter Jessee.

Head Coach Jordan Bischel is familiar with Miami from his five seasons at Central Michigan. He has had great success against the RedHawks in his career and sports a 14-1 record against them as a head coach.

Following Tuesday's game, Cincinnati opens Big 12 play at Arizona this weekend.
