CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati lacrosse standouts Alexis Rich and Lexie Wolfe earned Big 12 Weekly Awards, the league announced Tuesday.
Rich grabbed her first Defender of the Week accolade, while Wolfe earned her first Midfielder of the Week title. Both athletes are coming off strong performances against Ohio State and Eastern Michigan.
Wolfe recorded a career-high four goals against the Buckeyes, alongside a goal against the Eagles. Rich, a veteran defensive leader for Cincinnati, notched three caused turnovers and four ground balls against Ohio State. She ranks second in the Big 12 for caused turnovers per game (1.67 avg/g) and 10th in ground balls per game (1.78 avg/g).
Cincinnati remains at home as they welcome Wofford to Nippert Stadium on Friday at 3 p.m.
