CINCINNATI – An eight-game homestand for the University of Cincinnati baseball team begins this weekend with a Big 12 series vs. BYU and a non-conference tilt vs. Butler.
Following an adjustment to the schedule, the BYU series will begin with a doubleheader on Friday at 2:00 p.m., and game three is set for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. First pitch for the Butler game is 4:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
Due to the schedule change for the BYU series, fans who purchased single game tickets for Thursday or Friday's games will receive an email with ticket information. Contact the Bearcats Ticket Office at (513) 556-2287 or by email at uctickets@uc.edu with any questions.
The Bearcats and Cougars met for the first time last season as first-year Big 12 foes. UC swept that series, and in doing so clinched a spot in the 2024 Big 12 Tournament. Cincinnati is 26-16 all-time against Butler, with the last meeting coming in 2023 in a weekend series at UC Baseball Stadium. The Bearcats won two out of three that weekend, posting two run-rule victories.
Cincinnati will be looking to bounce back after getting swept at Arizona last weekend in its first Big 12 series of the year. Returning home could prove to be a good start, as UC is 6-0 at home this year and 24-8 at home under head coach Jordan Bischel.
Following this weekend's action, UC will host No. 16 Louisville on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. before another home Big 12 series next weekend against UCF.
